Always got my children Brasher goretex boots or Berghaus boots but when i need to get them now new again i will probably just get some cheaper Karrimor boots from sports direct as tbh they grow out of them before they even start to show wear and tear.. have given many pairs away in the past as they dont sell on.

'Grow out' so fast - my 2 even grew 'passed' sizes that I had in the cupboard, and hence they didn't get used :banghead::(.
They tend to grow most in spring starting with their feet.

2nd hand is good if you can. Advertise on here and see what folks have hiding in their gear hoards :).

Ive usually a selection of kids trail shoes and boots, some waterproof , some not...
Ask me for sizes in a couple of weeks, I should be able to sort you out .

You don't mention the age, for ours now 10 and 8, we ditched boots after poor experiences for trainers in summer and decathlon lined wellies for the colder, wetter seasons. The linings are good as they can be pulled out and dried quickly over a fire/car windscreen vents when the inevitable happens. They're also thick and padded enough to allow for a range of fit from a bit too big to a bit tight without causing blisters /moaning and thus last for longer than most of their footwear.
