I've had these a few weeks now, chiselled around 60 miles Backpacking into them so far.
I'm m getting on great with them and will be doing a more detailed review in the near future.
Due to the materials and design, I was curious to how they behaved when soaked....

Swear by my Trail Talons-the heat from your feet and the movement of wet air through the mesh dry them.
I will look into a pair of these. Thanks Chiseller.
They look a bit like the wider last of yesteryear, Inov8 had a while back which suited the wider Antipodean foot, then seemed to give the flick?
Are they quite wide (r) across the forefoot Chiseller?

I'm not sure if they're wider but I do feel that they're a bit longer, which makes them feel roomier.

Do you mean a bit longer for the size?
So a 45 feels like (is actually a 46) or something like that?
From the Chiseller's vid and the angle they looked 'wider'.

Yes, that's what I meant. (Chiseller feels the same.) I'll get them out after breakfast and check the width compared to some older Roclite 280s.

Ta. I cannot try them on. Rural, coastal location, hence my dumb questions.

They are wider across the forefoot.
I have an area on my left foot that soon tells me if a shoe is too narrow.
Im 10.5. My 335 are 11.5 and my x talon 240 are a 12 (used for winter or mud runs when it's boggy with rubber socks)

They don't seem dumb to me.
I've just compared them to a pair of Roclite 280s, both in size 43. Visually, the 335s appear wider and to have more volume, but I don't know how much the Primaloft affects the material thickness, though it doesn't feel very thick. I measured across the shoes at spot 120mm back from the centre of the toe bumpers and the 335s measured 185mm across the top (top of outsole to top of outsole) while the 280s were 175mm.
They have different sole units so it's a little difficult to compare, but held against each other, the 335s are wider. Due to the different lugs, the only way to make a fair comparison was to measure across the metaflex band. I did this starting left to right and right to left (if you try to do this you'll see it basically means you're measuring a different section of the sole - roughly top of the metaflex and bottom of the metaflex); the 335s measured 110 and 107mm whereas the 280s were 108 and 104mm.
So, yes, the 335s seem to be a little wider as well as longer.

Thank you kindly Chiseller and William. Much appreciated. I can try Inov8s on -just have to drive 900 kms to do it.

I can't speak for everyone... But for me.. It's a full size up for fit and swell room if Backpacking or running over 15k and a size and a half for winter when I may want thicker socks or rubber socks.
Inov8 do offer different width fittings, but for me they have to be the wider 'standard fit'

Yes, full size up. I concur. My Webtogs Trail Talons are the Standard fit but the newer standard fit is narrower in this model. The TTs replace the Race Ultra 290s-they were nicely wide!
