Hi everyone. I recently managed to buy a large sheet of 3mm Evazote foam from an online footbed company. It's wide enough for 2 mattresses, but not long enough. is it possible to join 2 pieces together? Any suggestions welcome! happy trekking everyone...;)

Many types of tape work well with CCF. Duct tape and cuben tape are options, depending on how much weight/cost you are willing to put up with. Spinakker tape might be a compromise between the two.

You could try just gluing a butt joint with impact adhesive, probably would need 3+ hands to get a tidy joint (un-wrinkled) & do it on a sheet of polythene so you don't stick it to the floor.
25mm wide spinnaker tape (cut down 50mm) either side would probably also work & keep the weight down.

How about making it detachable? I use kam snaps to connect my z-lite backpack back panel with the rest of the torso sized z-lite. Works really well and 3mm evazote shouldn't be too thick for normal snaps. Requires just some care when pulling apart.

the other side has some grosgrain sewn on it with about 3-4mm stitch length:

I have successfully used duct tape reducing the length of a Z-lite.
