Canberra is nice to visit but you run out of thing pretty fast. It is however a great jumping off point to Namadgi, the Brindabellas and Kosciuszko. Some great walking. :D

Eh-up! as they say from down my way. Looking forward to hearing about things from the other side of the world. A bit different from an overnight wild camp in the Peak District.

G'day Hillbelly and Tom. I like the Peak District very much. Bought my 73 VW Kombi in Derby. Nice neck of the woods I hope to see again. Very dry here 18 of the last 20 years in drought.

Yes but 6 hours driving and looked to go in Jan to escape the heat which was brutal this year inland, but was warm there too so gave it a miss. One day......

Greetings from Portsmouth on the south coast.
I have good memories of the coast road Adelaide-Melbourne which I drove some ten years ago. I had a lot of rain while I was in Oz including a downpour at Ulurhu!
My sister-in-law returned from Oz last year - the heat had got too much for her after 15 years!
