Don't Lose Your Way - Recovering Lost Footpaths

Sorry if this has already been posted here - I tried a search & didn't see it but may have missed it...

Anyway, I came across this today and thought it might be of interest here... the Ramblers Association have a project going to have historical footpaths that have been lost to modern maps added to the definitive map before time runs out in 2026. They're crowd-sourcing the comparison of old and new maps through a website here: https://dontloseyourway.ramblers.org.uk/ - I think they're using some AI to spot "FP" symbols on old maps, but it needs human eyes to confirm them and trace out the paths ...it only takes a couple of minutes to do one grid square and it's very satisfying to add in a path that may now be saved. It's actually quite a nice little stress reliever, I've been doing one every so often all day to take a break from work :) I figure the more footpaths remain the better for all of us.

Anyway, if you have a few minutes to spare check it out.
