Seems like I'm not the only person to have my DT socks worn out (I think mine are from the front outer/bottom). I considered sending back for replacement just to check out the warranty robustness but my inner-self ethics committee kept me from doing so. After all i had worn them excessively for the previous 2 years!!
I have both the grey extra (not max) padded version as well as the standard thinner versions (which didn't last much more tgan a year before the wool thinning out but can't send back cos of a last sock).
Anyway, seems like I'm obviously not the only one... What I can say is that I've been running the HJ Hall Rambler aswell in a side by side comparison and the HJ at a third of the price with 60% wool, are a 'darn tougher' sock.... 2 years and counting (no wear to reprt)
