What altitude?

A burning tyre is all that's missing...
The tyre is just out of shot to the left...
3,100 metres. The tent was coated with ice both inside and out but it was only about -2°C. We had frost on 4 out of the 7 nights, probably partly because there was no wind.

Note the Azera coffee. Not quite Starbucks, but we occasionally allow ourselves a little luxury ;)

When did you fly to the UK? 😉
The mountains in northeastern Turkey are similar to the UK in many ways, particularly on the north side of the watershed. Fog, regular rain (though we got lucky on this trip), bilberries etc. Parts of the lower altitudes remind me of driving along the A55.
