Cnoc has a Kickstarter project for three different types of trekking pole. One set extends to 158cm, and another to 165cm so they may be of interest to those with taller trekking pole supported tents.
There didn’t look to be many pledges made last time I checked, it would be a shame if it was a nonstarter, not sure if it’s picked up any since. I wonder if the comment about parts being easily replaced could be expensive if not US based though, but then I suppose it’s no different to BD etc
The overthinking and over engineering may not have helped. It seemed like that they were suggesting that the poles would need parts replacing on a long trek.
Postponed rather than lacking backing apparently https://cnocoutdoors.com/blogs/blog/kickstarter-postponed
I've been tempted to try some. Got some komperdell carbon/alloy poles last year, but they feel a bit clunky, if well made after AK carbonlites
The Kickstarter project is back up. This time they've got rid of the Z poles and have a lower target, which is already met. In fact, funding has increased by nearly $1,000 since I first saw it half an hour ago.
