Charging a DSLR from a UBS type charger.

I have an old Canon D50 DSLR camera, I've a mains charger and a couple of extra batteries for it. But if I'm away from the mains I've no way of recharging the batteries. I have a solar panel and I've just ordered a wind generator both these will charge UBS type devices, is there anyway I can get these to charge my camera batteries?

Most cameras have a usb on the body that charges the battery directly. Some older cameras (maybe still some brands?) don't and you have to remove the battery and use a wall charger. I don't know which your camera is but if it's the first one a power bank will work work fine to charge it. I've seen a lot of people saying solar doesn't really work and not seen anyone talk about actually using wind.

Unfortunately is an older one without a UBS on the body. I've not had any problems with my solar panel I've taken it on several 2-3 week long trips and used it to charge my tracker, phone, GPS etc. These trips were in Scotland and Scandinavia not the sunniest of places but still had enough sunlight. The wind generator is an experiment.

After reading some accounts of batteries inflating inside the camera body due to overcharging, I decided that, even though my G7X II is capable of USB charging, I would always charge outside of the camera. I bought a charger for them which has a USB input. For your D50's BP-511 type batteries, that would look something like this.
