Berghaus Elevation 400 sleeping bag at £89 at Go Outdoors, reduced from £240. "4 season" just over 1kg. Any good?

A very good price but I'd say it's not really 4 season.

I've just received one of these. It does seem a nice piece and may replace my Rab AL as first choice for a summer fleece. I hope it is as durable.
A strange thing about the sizing: going by the Decathlon sizing chart, it seemed the size S should fit me, though that would mean I was going down a size compared to Rab and Montane fleeces that I have. From your comment, I should have gone for the L but I decided to go with the S and if it was a couple of sizes too small it should then fit my wife. It fits me perfectly. But it also weighs 207g, so slightly more than yours!

At +4 degrees comfort i would say more 2 season rather than 4 season.

I always take a size smaller than usual in decathlon tops, but a size larger in trousers.
Tbh I find the sizing sufficiently varied that I would never bother to order online.

Luckily I do tend to pass either the lakeside, birmingham or Nottingham branches fairly regularly. It's a bit different to France though, where you could hardly ever turn off an a-road without passing one.

After talking to a chap up here (Scotland) today I'm thinking about ordering a pair for around camp and additional layering. I sleep warm but may be worth it for the weight.

They do look wide. I like the laces a lot. Lol. An uncomfortable bend can often soften, but for long use with crampons, their sole stiffness shouldn't allow that and it worries me a bit.

It sounds like there is too much volume inside the boot. A volume reducer under the insole will lift your foot higher and stop the excess leather from digging in.

    Hello all

Not sure who to ask about this to be honest.
Im looking for a website that will allow me to take trail maps for mountains in the lake district so that I can print them for FREE and laminate them myself. Not sure if anyone knows a site that this can be done on.

    Any help would be great.
    Thank you

3 season Eurohike 500 down sleeping bag £50 down from £100.

I've used an older version of this bag (paid £40) below freezing and have been comfortable.

Blacks will give a further 15% discount if you are a member of various outdoor organisations including the National Trust.
Millets also stock but tend not to double discount.

I bought one of these a while back and I'd definitely not consider it more than a summer bag. Its very thin and there is so little fill that much of the bag is translucent.
