Yeah read that. Still not sure how it compares to say a nanopuff or a rab cirrus?
From what I've seen in the shop its more like an insulated base/mid layer, more comparable with a micro grid fleece. More wind resistant.
I'm taking back my like I decided to get a Rab Alpha Flash, delivered to family who are away from home at the moment. They're back tomorrow so I went online today to order and they're now out of stock in my size
Thats a shame William, its probably the best jacket i've EVER bought...
He's like this William, I've been attempting to promote empathy..... but the base material just isn't there.
How well does the flash compress @el manana ? Still bulky?
not overly for a synthetic, might fit a 2l drybag easily into a 4l
Berghaus Light Hike Hydroshell overtrousers £64.99 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Berghaus-Mens-Light-Hydroshell-Overtrouser/dp/B00U8XJVZ4?
I think Berghaus have stopped making these. I bought some recently and used them in the Lake District and was very pleased with them. Large weighs 244g, a bit heavier than the Paclite ones but they seem more robust and breathable. I like the 3/4 zips too. Unlike the Paclite ones, the rain flap is behind the zip, not on the outside, which I think is a better design.
There is a second hand Zpacks sleeping bag on outdoor gear exchange UK facebook.
i was trying to checkout one of the alpha jackets at 3am and the discount was still working fine. unfortunately i was half asleep and could not be bothered to get out of bed and retrieve my wallt for the ccv code and when i tried to complete the purchase at 8am it would no longer work.
damn my lazyness....
i am consoling myself with the purchase of a new hat (OR Radar Cap) while i wait patiently for IT systems to be sorted. i have been here at work since 7:45 now

Rock and Run have the Rab Alfa flux for 85 quid. And other stuff in their flash sale.
Very high quality Westcomb Focus LT in event DVL size L only at €175.50 here
(I have bought stuff from outdoorline quite a few times - always received excellent service. Especially good prior to brexit vote when gear from HMG etc was available at reasonable prices in europe thanks to the strenght of the £ against the $ and €. No more....)
On Amazon pair of walking poles, flick lock, cork handle and compact fold down £24.99.
Bit heavy but not bad considering they won't snap if you get the tip caught in a crack ....I'll weigh my poles tomorrow and may get some for the wife to try...cheers
They're made from 7076 Al, rather than the more usual (for trekking poles) 7075-T6. It appears to be a slightly less good alloy for the purpose, but perhaps good enough? Somewhat outside my area of expertise though, if someone more knowledgeable would care to chime in.
"LIGHTER THAN YOUR AVERAGE UMBRELLA: Each pole weighs only 9.5 ounces (270g)"
540g, that's 90g heavier than my Black Diamond Trails
Some Big Agnes gear on SportPursuit, the clothing looks a bit boxy but there's a few tents on there too including the Flycreek UL series
