Anyone heading for Knoydart.

Murpharoo that does look like a splendid ridge on the map. Following the high ground all the way East from Tarbet to Bidein a Chabeir. Logistics for a different onward/return route have me a bit stumped though - would I be right in surmising that neither the North or South shorelines are practicable options?

This video (start at 9 min) discusses the route from Tarbet along the ridge to the east. Knoydart miles are tough - though the weather they had was poor. The loch sides are probably doable but very very rough and would try your patience and be sloooow going.
Now if you had a packraft .... :D

That's excellent, and a great insight into the area (I've only been on the 'main' Knoydart peninsula, and in favourable weather), many thanks Murpharoo.

It was a trip to Knoydart that got me started with camping. The weather was unbelievably fine in April and we were sleeping over in Barrisdale bothy. I so much wanted to stay down by the beach all night and watch the deer mooching around the sea shore that I resolved to buy a tent, and I did.

Thanks for the video pointer. Pretty much confirms what I thought already :).
I was over at Kinbreck bothy last spring - I thought it one of the nicer ones I've stayed.
