I've been wearing mine today after carrying it for the last 9 days and only using in tent and sleeping in.

Walking, at 10°C n breezy wearing a Rab pulse baselayer Teeshirt and a pertex windshirt, I'm finding it somewhat too warm especially round the neck with the excess fabric around the hood . If I take the windshirt off it's too cold 😄. I could wear it without the Pulse but would still be too warm around the neck area. (Hence planning toske a crew/zip neck pullover to try)

I use it in winter as a standalone under paramo or with a base Tee under my eVent hardshell or a Windshirt. But struggling to make it work between these conditions and without a windshirt in warmer times. As bedwear it's great. (I use a quilt - currently a Cumulus 250 the last week or so).

Exactly that @Mole. I used it a couple of times in winter and it was great, really comfy as sleep wear as well.

I think it would work better with a zip neck.

I wear mine on top of a Montane allez under paramo in winter, but has to be cold and windy. In the spring on its own under windshell. I've also wore it often on its own in summer, carrying 8- 10 kg bag with no noticeable wear. I've caught it a few times on branches and rocks, and got away with any damage. I would say it's stronger than it looks.
I've gone from not to sure about it to carrying it all the time.

Highly recommended! I've been rocking on of his early hoodies for 2 years now! Alpine tours, mountaineering or climbing - it is holding up really well.
Interesting. I'm using my Nitro for both active and static insulation now. With a windproof with good venting, it's ideal for 3 season active use. In my tent with a windproof on top it's about as warm as a synthetic puffy so why carry both?
My use case:
- 90% of time I rock the Alpha hoody (60g/m²) with nothing else underneath. This proved to be the best for me because I sweat quite a bit and this way it airs out nicely and the climate is nearly perfect whilst on the move.
- If temperatures drop and/or wind speed increases or if I'm resting I'll add my Shakedry jacket for turning it into a great insulating piece.
- If it gets REALLY hot (e.g. last saturday in the dolomites: 23°C with high sun exposure and uphill climbing) I'll simply ditch it completely and go topless.
