2 person tent

Hey there,

My wife pulled the plug, and signed up for divorce after 21 years. So age 46 I am now knocked out pretty good.

We always loved to hike together - and I figured that one way "back to life" would be taking up some solo trips in nature. Need to find myself again.

I'm a shelter/tent person, which means that I prefer to sleep in shelters - but if not avaiable - I always bring a tent.
Now since my wife took of with our tent (4 person Helsport superligth) I am now in the market for a ligth 2 person tent, where I can put up the outer tent before any inner.

(we got 2 kids, so they will be 3 persons - I am perfectly happy that they keep it)

Any recommendations ?

I asked a similar question not too long ago. Have a look at that thread.

Just so you know, I'm probably going for the X-mid 2p when it comes available on Drop. I already got the 1p for myself and it seems very good value for its weight & quality. More about X-mids on X-mid thread.

If you are interested in the XMid 2P but can't wait, something like the Trekkertent Drift 2 (custom with solid inner) would be similar. I bought it for the simplicity (reminds me very much of the ZPacks Duplex which I loved and miss) of putting it up and taking it down...but it is a trekking pole tent, so if you don't use them you'd have to buy separate poles.

If you’re still looking, I’ve got a Trekkertent Stealth 2 that I’m keen to get rid of. Used probably for a total of 15 nights. I’m actually just downsizing it to the 1.5, as I’m counting grams for a PCT thru-hike. Let me know if you’re interested!
