This 800fp 308g fill rectangular bag at 618g looks like a reasonable way to boost a summer quilt into a 4 season proposition

I guess buying 'power' reduces some costs for the larger UL specialists....but yeah...they turn out some fair value stuff...
....although a little more thought and QC from MLD and TT (IME) would move their products just that bit further...
I take my (bought) hat off to you for your MYOG efforts BTW

The myog quilt I made was...
3m of £15/m 27g/2m extreme textile fabric
1m of Pertex endurance (£12?)
2m of baffle material in my case 20g/2m @£6/m
450g of 850fp (us) down at ~£55 (considering replacing with 400g of polish 860fp (~960fp us ~£100)
So about 120-130 quid and a sh*t load of work with the mix of fabrics and all the baffling. An EE quilt at $250-300 is a really good deal
......if you can afford it!
If not then I'd jump on these, and some of the 3f ul gear/ knot outdoors stuff.
I got 2 x 25l palante style packs out of 1m of cuben and a half meter of dxg so they were very worth making.

I was very lucky. I got Tim Marshall of EE to make me a custom down quilt years ago. I supplied the down and some ideas. It was the first down quilt he ever made. When I asked him if he could add more down to it, he wanted to have it back to put on the wall of his new factory's reception area. In return he made me a new quilt better than the first. 19.75oz, 900fp down, extra long and snug down to the frostline.
I use one of those as my summer bag/quilt, not bad but isn't very breathable so you can end up sweating a bit. A Costco throw over the top of it can then take me down to fairly low temps.

Hi Andrea. Is it a decent zip? Does it go right around the foot so you can open it out into a blanket?
Zip is all right, does snag a bit and there is no draft flap. Its double ended and does open right up.
I'm quite fond of the bag, especially considering how little I paid. Somewhere on here is my thread about it.
