Same, same here on Android Firefox (no issue on the computer). The old log in bug struck again a few days ago. Changing my bookmarks to HTTPS fixed that. However, on the computer, when I try to enlarge some of the thumbnail photos, I get a message that I need to log in (even though I am) and I'm taken to a log in page where my username/password is not recognised. #puzzled

I think there might be a cache/redirect issue on the server, I’ll ask Tony to take a look but unfortunately he’s not well at the moment.

Please bear with and I’ll try and resolve ASAP

No hurry on my end. It's not much of a nuisance now that I've switched to https.

I can’t Phil, I need somebody else to make those changes, not much changed since post #208.
I’ll see how Tony’s getting on but I don’t want to chase it if he’s not back to full fettle

What's the platform you're running the site? If it's a linux box, then editing the .htaccess file is pretty simple. I don't know linux at all, but I've done it in the past when my website was on my mate's server.

After a relative short time (30-ish minutes) of inactivity, the site requires me to login.

Firefox on MacOS, but the same problem happens on iPadOS and iOS (running Firefox as well).

HTTPS is active on all devices.

I am having the same issue on my iMac which starred as I updated to OSX 10.15.3, but my MacBook which is still running High Sierra works ok. I have not has the issue on iPhone either. I know Apple were doing something with https certificates but I thought that was just for Safari. I have had the same issue on other sites as well so just took it as a Apple thing. I'll have a dig about and see if I can find any info.

I just thought of one thing and tried it. I connect to work via a VPN which was updated at the same time as MacOS and after disconnecting, closing Safari and trying to access the site an hour later, the issue was not there. This probably does not help anyone else but seems to have resolved my issue and would explain why it was only happening on one system.

It has - mysteriously - solved itself overnight on all devices.

Thanks for thinking with me Dave.

Last few days I keep having to log back in sometimes several times in a day wheras before I could keep a tab open in Firefox (android) and it would keep me logged in pretty well indefinately.

For those having to log in every time, please check if you Ad blockers, Disconnect, Ghostery, no-track options enabled for this site or in the browser itself Do Not Track options set on for this site. If the cookies are deleted after every visit, that means the site won't remember you next time.

Personally I have Adblock disabled for the site and Disconnect whitelisted this site on Chrome/Mac and I don't remember the last time I had to log in.

This is bizarre. I received an E mail about this thread, Clicking on View This Thread takes me here where I am logged in and with the ad block disabled.
However if I come to the site by using the Bookmark on Google I have to sign up again and at the moment it does not let me.

I have changed my bookmark (created a new one) and now it works. i'll try again later on.
OK, still working so maybe others can give this a try.

I'm having a problem editing a post. Whenever I click on edit, I'm being told I have to log in, even though I already am. I re-log on, then I get jumped to the top of the page, where it shows me logged in, whereupon I have to repeat the whole process. I've been doing this for 5 minutes, I've tried re-starting the browser, no change. Only happens when I try to edit, not to type a regular post.
