I think you should post this to the outdoor gear deals thread. An black seems to available too.
It has been posted in the gear deals thread before, I think; I suspect thats where I learned about the outlet.
Unfortunately, the black is only available in XS. It's worth keeping an eye on the site though; some of the prices are a stupendous bargain.

It does allow me to add (namedely) black XL in basket?

Or you could head over to the Crux Outlet web shop and get a Pico Top (asl long as you're size XS, S, L or XL and happy with red) No hood admittedly, and only a haf zip, but 180g with 70g of 900 EU FP down (so 970 FP US?) and only £69.

That's an absolute steal, I have one it's great for the weight. Sizing is perhaps a bit snug but generally ok.

On the other hand the price is annoying as I was going to sell mine as I now have a continuum jacket instead

I picked up a Halo jacket from them for £60 a couple of months ago. I got a medium and it fits a little looser than the small in Rab and Berghaus, probably a slightly better fit for me (but medium in Rab and Berghaus are too loose).
Fingers crossed it will get worn in earnest for the first time on Sunday.

Hold on to it until they are sold out :D

I saw that last week, been waiting for some UK prices, a bit rich at £200 a pop given how long the upper/toe rand junction tends to last on Inov8's these days

I'm not that impressed with my Terraultra 260 Gs, the sole is very stiff which reduces the control even though the stack is only 8mm. I liked the x-talons better, but the toebox is just too narrow for me now. Mind you, I wear minimalist shoes everyday, so I look for different things in a shoe.

Love a bit of a rant, right @Chiseller

you said they lasted 20 miles, but the question is were they fast miles? :hilarious:

Anyways, I agree and wish they made the boot 0 drop and wide toe box and snug heel.

If it's cold enough to need down below the waist, why wear shorts?
Not tried it so don't know myself but intuitively seems funky.

I think it's more an American thing, I see plenty of them doing Sierras in shorts etc. It's also to do with protecting the privates I guess. Maybe even acts as a seat warmer, although I wouldn't want to keep sitting on a super expensive and thin puffy. I'd be worried about wearing out due to abrasion.

Insulated over-shorts have been a thing in the ski mountaineering industry for a little while now. The idea being they can be worn over lighter weight softshells (or tights) before starting out, while static and for the downhill which allows use of lighter weight legwear while active.
These would normally be over the knee in length but above boot top.
Hope that makes some sense...

Interesting.
There's a weird cultural thing with the hard landscapers where I work. Snow, rain whatever, never out of shorts.
I tried to keep up one winter, not with these knees!
