I lost the last head net on last outing somewhere amongst the peat hags of the Geldie/ Feshie watershed so knocked up another from 27g/m2 no-see-um black mesh, 13g; 80cm * 50cm panel simply folded over & stitched, some shaping to get a 'good' fit over the BB cap & a 1.5mm shock cord in the hem.........an hour well spent given the billions of midge out & about at the moment.

i like the style nod to soap on a rope.

it’s time to admit that my stunning myog rucksack that i made last year broke on day 3, my coffee filter mesh wasn’t fine enough so that didn’t work either AND even the cam snaps that I put on my echo hoody, which worked fine when I did them, didn’t work when I actually wanted to use them a few days later. Cam snaps not working?! How could I mess that up? I Also used the dust sheet quilt protector that I made last year, cut down to just footbox length, and had a soggy footbox by morning. All very well intentioned but falling far short of being any use.

Don't get me started on projects that didn't quite work - or not at all... :( Perhaps wisely I never attempted a backpack or shelter but stuck with nonessentials.

Big test today for my finally completed cu + cf mat bonded slingback chair at half the weight of the original and double use on top or below airmat.

This seems to working well.enough - a little more comfy and half the weight (73gr) of the original slingshot seat. Also a little shorter and the seat section is about 2" wider. Doubles above or below airmat and only used left over / cut off pieces apart from glue and tape.
