Is that for under your Trailstar @Robin ?
Do you need measurements on the fuel bottle? The lid means that excess fuel in the burner can be kept for the next burn, though when you get home I recommend letting it evaporate away to avoid corrosion of the screw threads. I haven't measured out fuel ever since switching to these types of burner. An order from speedster .

Almost precisely the setup I have. I'm very happy with it all to be honest, as it does the job without any fuss or hassle. I can't see that I'd consider moving away from it. I also have a gas stove, several pop can stoves and an Evernew DX - but these little speedster stoves are much more convenient and economical than any of them.
As said, there's no need to measure fuel - just fill the burner, do your boiling/cooking, then blow it out, wait for it to cool, then screw the lid on. Any unburnt fuel is there for next time. I have the same pot stand too - just turn it the other side up and it works fine with lots of different pot sizes (I use Evernew 600 and 900 mugs). I'd recommend getting a Torjet lighter, which will light the burners even when cold and frosty. A firesteel is good for a backup, but a lighter is a better way most of the time. The simmer ring weighs nothing, but I can't see the need, especially as you have 2 sizes of burner. I'm sure you also have a windshield and something to sit the burner on as well?
Ahh nice! So I just fill it to the brim then?
I honestly thought I would have to measure it out..
The Torjet is a stand alone lighter but with a jet-like flame. They're very good in the wind and a but quicker in the cold, though you can hold the burner upside down over a normal lighter as long as you follow Rog's advice below.A torjet burner... I take it that will be like the soto type that takes throw away lighters? And converts them into a little blow torch type thing?
I only have that stand from speedster atm. Or do you mean something to stop it burning the grass etc?
If so I was goung to use a foil cake cup or something?.
Indeed. I fill the burner until the wetness stays visible on the surface of the felt for a second or two. Any leftover from the burn will stay happily in the burner with the lid on.25ml will boil enough for a brew and a dehydrated meal. Don't overfill the stove.
Big appetite requires deep pot, necessitating long spoon.Nice spoon. Emergency tent peg!
They will. They are pretty good.
I bought a Notch from them for US delivery before I did the Colorado Trail..... realised, later I'd not have time to seem seal it...and Tarptent sealed it for free and sent it to my hotel.
I've pretty much always had great service from them. Henry is quite the designer IMO.
