Burners

30ml
50ml
Simmer ring
Fire steel
Tri stand......
but it's too wide for my toaks 650 but it's not wide enough...... ?
Fuel bottle but looks like il have to put measurements on it.
Do you need measurements on the fuel bottle? The lid means that excess fuel in the burner can be kept for the next burn, though when you get home I recommend letting it evaporate away to avoid corrosion of the screw threads. I haven't measured out fuel ever since switching to these types of burner.

Almost precisely the setup I have. I'm very happy with it all to be honest, as it does the job without any fuss or hassle. I can't see that I'd consider moving away from it. I also have a gas stove, several pop can stoves and an Evernew DX - but these little speedster stoves are much more convenient and economical than any of them.

As said, there's no need to measure fuel - just fill the burner, do your boiling/cooking, then blow it out, wait for it to cool, then screw the lid on. Any unburnt fuel is there for next time. I have the same pot stand too - just turn it the other side up and it works fine with lots of different pot sizes (I use Evernew 600 and 900 mugs). I'd recommend getting a Torjet lighter, which will light the burners even when cold and frosty. A firesteel is good for a backup, but a lighter is a better way most of the time. The simmer ring weighs nothing, but I can't see the need, especially as you have 2 sizes of burner. I'm sure you also have a windshield and something to sit the burner on as well?

I'm not really sure... I havnt used this style of burner before.... I'm a total newbie to it.
I just thought I could keep an eye on it really and try not to use too much fuel. Well that was my initial thoughts anyway.
Thanks tho.

Ahh nice! So I just fill it to the brim then?
I honestly thought I would have to measure it out..
A torjet burner... I take it that will be like the soto type that takes throw away lighters? And converts them into a little blow torch type thing?

I only have a normal heavy windshield and or a thin piece of aluminium sheet but I was looking at stormin cones as iv found the flames do get blown about abit in the slightest of breezes.

I only have that stand from speedster atm. Or do you mean something to stop it burning the grass etc?
If so I was goung to use a foil cake cup or something?.

The Torjet is a stand alone lighter but with a jet-like flame. They're very good in the wind and a but quicker in the cold, though you can hold the burner upside down over a normal lighter as long as you follow Rog's advice below.
25ml will boil enough for a brew and a dehydrated meal. Don't overfill the stove.
Indeed. I fill the burner until the wetness stays visible on the surface of the felt for a second or two. Any leftover from the burn will stay happily in the burner with the lid on.

BTW Torjets and other piezo lighters don't work at high altitude though you'd have to go outside the UK to be high enough for that to happen.

They will. They are pretty good.
I bought a Notch from them for US delivery before I did the Colorado Trail..... realised, later I'd not have time to seam seal it...and Tarptent sealed it for free and sent it to my hotel.
I've pretty much always had great service from them. Henry is quite the designer IMO.

I've had a couple from them in the past and they've always been just grand to deal with, I think I've looked at every tent ever made (plus bought and sold quickly a couple) over the last 3 or 4 months and always end up back at TT looking at the SS Li
