Last time I saw platforms like that on a shoe it was 1976.
If he's feeling the lack of height so much, I've still got a pair I bought in 1976 which would help lift him up a bit and save some of the neck ache.

Ha ha Canberras the place I meant by north. I was enjoying the wonder of Melbourne (is it about 600ks south?) in flares I could fit a small family in --each leg!No idea about up North, back then I was to busy trying not to get bored silly by the wonder that is Canberra.
