Just heading into Leeds to do my Xmas shopping, I might ask Santa for a subs package and buy the mini myself.

I seem to be going round in circles trying to find pricing details on my phone, all I can find is $

Can anyone enlighten me or share a link for £ pricing

It's still not very clear to me.
"All annual plans are subject to £19.99 activation fee. No charge applies to changing to a more inclusive annual plan; a £24.99 fee applies to changing to a less inclusive annual plan.
Enrolment in Freedom plans is subject to a £24.99 annual fee. Freedom plans’ minimum term is 30 days. New 30-day minimum applies to changed Freedom plans. No charge applies to changing a Freedom plan. Service can be suspended a month at a time at no charge. User retains access to inReach data stored on Explore portal while account is suspended. Selected plan auto-renews monthly unless user changes account selections in Explore portal."

So if I only want a couple of months in the year it costs me: £19.99 afee, ctivation fee plus the £24.99 Freedom plan annual fee, then each month is £14.99, but the default is that it auto-renews each month unless I remember to go to the portal each month and suspend the next months service. Am I right?

So off out for a few days (tomorrow) and want to activate my inreach mini …. set up account OK .
Next - choose plan - it sends me to the US price plans (no other options) and of course when I try to pay it won't accept payment as I'm not resident in the US :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I've been round and round trying to access the UK price options but they dissappear as soon as I try "buying" a plan.
Their helpline/chat is only open weekdays (maybe some days the US will wake up to customer needs !!!)

Several hours wasted.
So anyone can point me in the right direction.
PLEASE.

I signed up last year and cannot remember how I did it but I use a european site to manage my account. Perhaps you need to start here.

And to add insult to injury :-

I thought I'd delete the account and try again.
- but only after you've pressed all the buttons; it tells you it will take between 48 hrs and 30 days to be deleted :banghead::banghead::arghh::arghh::mad:

I stopped using SPOT because their customer service was non-existent. So far this is worse as I'm unable to even register in the first place.

I recall registration seemed a bit illogical but I got there in the end. I've been checking my account info - but I have my plan suspended so cannot be sure I can see everything just now. It shows my country/region of residence as GB. I have the older Inreach Explorer SE version but would think it's the same for plans. I can send you a pdf of my account screen in a PM if it might help.

Thanks. I'll just wait (hope I don't need to use it) and start all over again sometime mid week.
I've already sent them a snotty message about no customer service outside work hours.

If you are coming to Inverness you can borrow mine for the week. I was planning to be out this week but wimped out due to weather - snow on the ground. Otherwise, good luck and have a good trip.

Chortled.

Garmin support is "open" 8.30 to 17.30 Mon -Fri. When most of us are likely to be registering/activating etc. outside of work hours :rolleyes::rolleyes:.
That just doesn't "cut it" in these times.

Do I take it that you don't think much of that sort of service too ?? :o o:

I too have done several "customer service" jobs. :)
It's not the quality of the US customer services I have a problem with - quite the reverse - I've had some excellent experiences - once I've managed to contact them :D.
